I started to get the vacuum cleaner out when I noticed Mimi was smack dab in my way. I decided to let her continue to relax there rather than stressing her with my cleaning. Okay, it isn’t the cleaning so much as the cleaning apparatus that stresses her. Whatever the reason, and maybe I’m just being lazy, I left her alone with her thoughts.

My cats will sit and watch and as long as I keep my back to them, with me as a buffer between them and the vacuum, they seem to tolerate it. Remember Teemu? He didn’t budge for nothing and nobody! I got such a kick out of vacuuming around him. Everything is going to be OK, Mimi. 😻

Of course I remember Teemu! How funny that some cats are so scared and others so indifferent. Mine have their secret hiding spots–I see them run, but I don’t know where they go!

So considerate. Best reason for not cleaning ever!

I have the hardest time pulling out the vacuum cleaner!

My cat used to head for higher ground when the vacuum cleaner was out and about. Wanted no part in cleaning anything at all, and was agitated the entire time. Maybe that’s why I didn’t run it as often as I should have.🙂

I understand that completely. I know how much it frightens my cats–they get nervous even when I open the door to the closet where the vacuum cleaner is housed. If they’re asleep and looking peaceful, it’s hard for me to disturb them!
