We went to the vet recently for a routine checkup, and fortunately, Walter is healthy. However, the ride over, the wait in the lobby, and the shots were all traumatic for him, despite the treats and loving care from the vet. So now he’s taking a nap to regroup.

Yes, it was traumatic for both of us. Actually, I took Mimi in at the same time and a friend came with, first to help me get them in their respective carriers, which was a trick since Walter is very adept at jumping out, and second to stay in the lobby with whomever wasn’t being examined at the time. But both are healthy and we are home. They are getting older, so I know every exam may not go this well, but for now we’re good.

It was pretty restful. I actually took the cats in on Monday, which was lucky since we got a ton of snow on Tuesday and snow shuts down the area I live in!
