I’m moving some furniture around and Walter doesn’t quite know what to make of it. These chairs are staying right here until I can figure out a better place for them, so maybe he’s found a new spot to nap in.

I love his little paw on the chair. Almost like, “Enough, Mama. This is fine.” Walter, you are adorable. 😽

Yeah, I think he was testing the new arrangement, but now (after this picture was taken) he’s sound asleep on one of those chairs.

Walter…not a fan of your work! 😜❤️😜

He’d rather things stayed the same, that’s for sure!

You’re making life more interesting for him, Belinda. I have a Betta fish and was told to mix things up in his fishbowl ever so often, because it would add more excitement for him. 😊

I’m not sure Walter gets too excited about change, but who knows? I remember we had some fish and were told the same thing, to mix things up.

I’m planning on getting a new scratching post for Walter and Mimi soon, so maybe that will be a change they like. At least I hope so!

We had a cat who loved one of the chairs to the kitchen table and no matter where I moved that chair, he would still lay in it. Cats are not big on change, but they seem to roll with it.

You’re right, they do adjust. I think they do best if you’re moving furniture they’re familiar with, like your kitchen chair. At least, that’s been my experience.

I agree Belinda! 💜

Nooooo! Cats don’t like their space changed. When I had a cat years ago, I made the mistake of moving his sleeping pad. He didn’t take it lightly. But I agree, they adapt to change quickly. 🥰

I am confident Walter will make his area assessment and react accordingly. While he may need some time to sort out his feelings on all of this change, mucho comfortable areas certainly remain available. (The scratching post for he and Mimi sounds like a welcome addition!)

Yes, the scratching post will definitely be welcome! And Walter seems to be adapting–sort of. Mostly he’s ignoring the new arrangement.
