My friend Deb has also been a good friend to my cats. In fact, most of their current toys came from her. A few years ago she gave me this “cat quilt,” which, as you might guess, is a quilt with cats on it. I put it on the back of my wicker chair, where Walter pulls it down and either hides under it (which is really cute, but I can never get a picture) or sleeps on top of it. Here he is doing the latter. Okay, he woke up when I approached with the camera, but i promise you, he had been sleeping on his blankie.
You can also see that, despite having actual scratching posts, the cats love to tear up my wicker chairs. Oh well. That’s the price you pay, I guess, for having cats.

I believe you, Belinda! I have a blankie, too, and I am 74 🤭 Walter looking very content!

I made my mom a quilt many years ago. It’s in shreds, but she clings to it. She’s 89 and it’s her blankie!

Walter is handsome on any surface — but what a great story about the quilt!

Thanks! I love that quilt, but the cats love it more

Walter is definitely adorable! Sorry for your wicker chairs, but it seems like it’s well worth it for how much joy your kitties bring you.

The chairs were given to me by a friend, so at least I didn’t spend any money on them! Well, I bought new pillows. I roll my eyes at the destruction, but they are worth it.

Yeah, he wasn’t in the mood to have his picture taken. Oh well.

The quilt picture is adorable…and let’s just say the wicker chairs are “loved.”🐈🐈

They are loved indeed! The front legs are shredded, and now, as you can see, they’ve started on the back legs.

I always enjoy hearing about Walter. He is such a beautiful cat. He seems to have your number though when it comes to taking pics.

I have scratching posts everywhere, and they still manage to tear up my furniture! When I call their names, they run away. I think they know they’re being naughty. LOL!

I just got them a new scratching post and put it between the chairs. So far they’ve checked it out but haven’t scratched. We’ll see what happens. I have slim hopes of it doing any good, but their old scratching posts were worn right out, so I thought I’d better be fair and get them a new one. And yes, I think cats know when they’re being naughty!
