It’s Mimi’s Turn!

I was bound and determined to get a picture of Mimi for this week’s post (not to imply I publish a Caturday post every Saturday, but let’s face it, lately that’s been the case). Unfortunately, this was the best shot I could get of her. She kept moving on me! She’s a tough one to get a good picture of in the best of times. Still, you can see a bit of her sweet personality in this shot, something that’s hard to capture. The ears say she’s on alert, but that was probably because I was hovering over her.

Did you see the Super Moon this week? We did!

  1. I have 26 month old kittens. Remy is super chill and a total sweetheart. Lily is driving me crazy. She still likes to suck on my clothes and I hate this. She’s constantly jumping and knocking everything off tables and counters. They are indoor kittens and she sneaks into the garage. Any suggestions on how to get her to calm down?

    1. Oh, I wish I had suggestions. Could you take her to the vet and ask for help? I’ve heard about some over the counter stuff that is supposed to help cats calm down. I think it’s melatonin. Mimi likes to sneak outside, although she’s gotten better. I worry about a cat that sneaks into the garage for all the reasons I’m sure you’re aware of! There are also pheromone things you can plug into a wall outlet. I thing they might help. But your vet might be the best source of information.

    1. When I saw that paw, I thought the same thing. I think that right after I snapped that shot, she took a big roll on the carpet, then got up and ran! Like I said, it’s hard to get a good photo of her.

      1. You would have loved the cat I visited with today at a bookstore. Mittens was his name. Twenty-years old. FIV positive with all kinds of health problems, but the most loving 17# cat! Let me talk to him and pet him. Sweetest ‘little’ tuxedo. He lives his best life with the shop owner and four other cats. I visited with him more than I looked at books! 😹
