About a year and a half ago I posted about Mimi and her new favorite toy, a small plush beaver. It’s actually a dog toy. My friend Deb bought a package of two beavers and only needed one, so she gave the other to me in the hope the cats would like it. Well, Mimi went crazy for it, and all this time later, she still does. I call the toy The Beav, and those of you familiar with black and white TV sitcoms from the early 60s will understand the reference.

That is so cute, Belinda! It just shows how we can attach ourselves to unexpected gifts. And cats can, too!

The Beav…who could ever forget Eddie Haskell?!
I like that Mimi has a favorite toy. None of my cats do.

The same friend who bought the Beav gave us one of those big donut things with the ball inside that cats are supposed to love. You know, the idea is that they bat the ball around in the donut? My cats just stared at it. We (my friend and I) donated it to a mutual friend with six cats and a couple of them like it. My cats just aren’t into most toys, but the Beav is a winner.

haha! I’m picturing your cats staring at the donut. **what does she want us to do with it?** Cats are the funniest.

I am glad Mimi loves The Beav! It’s a bit like a blankie… she’s loyal to it.

I think the blankie comparison is apt! When she’s not playing with The Beav, she’s sleeping with it.

That’s such a beautiful pic, Belinda. Isn’t it funny how they’ll keep one particular toy. My fur babies are exactly the same.

It is funny and fun to watch. My other cat, Walter, has his favorite as well.
