Walter’s not scared, no sir-ree!

The cats had their annual exams this week, and in preparation for the always traumatic trip to the vet, I pulled out the carriers. They sat in the living room so the cats could get used to them, and Walter immediately set about checking both over. That was Friday night. By Saturday night, he was sleeping in one off and on. This picture was taken Sunday, and you can see he’s pretty comfortable.

Monday, the day of the exams, was another story…

This kitty-cat doctor stuff has got to stop!!

    1. He was very happy with it while it was in the living room! I think it made dropping him in on Monday morning easier. However, he was pretty scared during the rest of the trip.

  1. Belinda, I am sorry they both have health issues. Hopefully not serious as you mentioned. What is it about carriers? They take on a whole new personality when it’s The Day. Cats just know. Walter does seem to be quite comfy in there with the pink towel/blanket. Hopefully if there are issues they can be taken care of easily. I will be thinking about you and those two sweet little Fuzz Faces.

    1. Thank you so much. Walter has a slight heart murmur and both potentially have early stage kidney disease. More tests needed to determine if that’s actually the case. I guess heart murmurs are graded on six levels and Walter is at the lowest. So not the worst news. They are getting older, so I guess this is to be expected.

    1. In my case, I have a friend who helps me get them in the carriers, so I think that tips them off. Of course, that’s not the only reason she’ll come to my place, so I guess their intuition kicks in–or the math adds up (carriers + Madlyn = eek!).
